What Big A says; Five Stars! Loved, loved this movie, great monster movie, I watched this Friday night and loved it, great cast, great story, loved the way the movie was presented as a recovered camcorder tape, loved the characters, the big monsters and little monsters were good, not great, but hey not everyone can be Godzilla!
This movie had everything I want in a good monster movie, believable characters, some surprises and tense moments, great scares!
I know people have complained about getting motion sickness watching this movie, but I watched it on my 32 inch screen t.v. and I think that made a difference because I did think after watching it that if I had seen it on the big screen in a theatre I would not have enjoyed it as much.
There are a lot of scares in this movie, but also some laughs in the first part and even some tender/sad moments, such as the son talking to his mother on the cell phone in the subway station.
I can’t say to much more or I’ll give to much of the movie away, just that I loved it and will want to see it many more times, one of my favorite monster movies in the last ten years!
The very last scene of this movie was one of the most bittersweet scenes I’ve watched in a movie for a very long time.
5 stars
